The story of children exposed to violence — a story often overlooked by adults
Beomsoo is often abused by his dad who gets drunk on his days off. Chanhyeok loiters around a convenience store, waiting for leftover food, after his grandmother is hospitalized. The story about these two boys unfolds around a convenience store found in a busy street filled with a lot of people. But they don't notice Chanhyeok and Beomsoo — two boys who are exposed to violence and danger. Only the two boys recognize each other's situation and try to save each other. There are many children around us who are exposed to danger, but we simply don't notice them, or we overlook them. Would we notice them if we turned our heads up to look like Chanhyeok does, or if we looked out the window like Beomsoo does? And if only we looked for them with our minds' eyes, trying to empathize with those children?
