A story for us, as we live oblivious of what we have lost

Author Kyungja, who uses conte and charcoal to illuminate the hidden stories around us in detailed colors, has returned with a new story, 『Samsa』. It is a picture book that will linger in readers’ memories long after closing the last page. Set in a dark, small room, featuring a main character alienated from her family and a name that seems familiar, this story draws inspiration from Franz Kafka’s novel, 「Metamorphosis」. Now, the materials that left many readers in refreshing shock are filtered through the unique prism of the author Kyungja and her view of the world, resulting in a new and unique narrative. 『Samsa』 prompts readers to rediscover the things they have lost without even realizing it, motivating them to reflect on themselves and our modern society within the world of Samsa.
